Scored and Stained Concrete
Staining imparts a luxurious richness that can not be achieved by any other coloring medium. Rather than produce a solid, opaque effect like paint, stains permeate the concrete to infuse it with luminous, translucent tones that vary depending on the surface they are applied to and the application techniques used. The results can mimic everything from polished marble to tanned leather to natural stone or even stained wood. Combine with scored designs to achieve the luxurious look at an affordable price. Stains for concrete come in three general categories: reactive stains (acid-based chemical stains), solvent based dyes, and water-based acrylics. All types of stain can be applied to new or old and plain or integrally colored concrete. Unlike paint concrete stains react with the minerals present in the concrete giving it a natural stone look. They are especially effective for revitalizing dull, lackluster surfaces. Because they penetrate the concrete surface, most stains have excellent UV stability and wear resistance, permitting their use on interior or exterior concrete.
Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete, often called textured or patterned concrete, replicates natural laid stone, brick, and even wood. With a wide variety of patters and color choices, stamped concrete offers unlimited choices for patios, pool decks, driveways and more. It's affordable cost makes it attractive paving option that requires less maintenance than other hardscape choices. Generally stamping is done on newly poured concrete. However, existing concrete in stable condition can be covered with a stamped overlay, which gives you the same look as conventional stamped concrete.
Polished Concrete
Stonewall Architectural Concrete, LLC provides concrete floor polishing as an economical, low-maintenance, long-lasting flooring option. Featuring a durable and easy-to-clean surface, polished concrete withstands heavy duty traffic, resists discoloration, and hinders the absorption of water, oil, and other potentially damaging substances. We leverage state-of-the-art planetary and vacuum grinding equipment to refine the concrete surfaces until the desired reflectivity is achieved, from a low reflective 400 grit finish to a highly reflective 3000 grit finish. Our polishing services also incorporate the use of dyes and premium quality Densifiers & Protective finishes which can be utilized as quality stand alone systems in commercial and industrial applications.
Overlay Concrete
If your concrete is worn, damaged, or unsightly and is not a good candidate for staining an overlay might be your solution. Cracks and holes can be repaired and then a new surface can be achieved by using an engineered cementitious Overlay. This gives you a new canvas to stain or texture to achieve your desired effect. This works for both interior and exterior applications.
Solid Color Coatings
Solid Color Coatings (Thin-Film Coatings) offer affordable protection while improving the look of concrete surfaces, from pool decks and garages to industrial warehouses. Stonewall Architectural Concrete utilizes a variety acrylic, epoxy, and polyurethane coatings specially designed to protect floors from various degrees of chemical attack and abrasion. Thin-Film systems typically installed at 6 mils to 13 mils thickness provide a brighter environment with improved cleanability over concrete surfaces.
